Andy Gluck

After School and Summer Camp Teacher

The famous saying goes, “if you love your job, you’ll never work a day in your life!” That’s how I feel about joining the Service Stars team! I am a 35-year resident of Newton Corner and raised my amazing kids Samantha and Joshua here (and now my little granddaughter Iris). After marrying my Middlebury College sweetheart, Kim, I forged a 15-year career in journalism and communications. I was fortunate to work at 11 Olympic Games with NBC-TV research. Athletics and an active outdoor life have always played a big part in my life, all the way back to summer camp counseling days. Following a decade of being “Mr. Mom” I returned to work at Underwood Elementary as “Mr. Gluck”, first as a special education teacher’s aide and then as their all-purpose building aide until my retirement from NPS in June of 2024. I am passionate about sustainability/environmentalism and taking care of our earth. I am motivated by our mission of teaching service, inspired by my colleagues and adore teaching the next generation about the importance of community and taking care of others. Let’s GO, Service Stars kids!
