Help kids make a difference.

Our program began with the belief that service opportunities at an early age inspire a life-long commitment to making the world a better place. Your donation will help us bring these life-changing opportunities to the youth in our community so our next generation has the tools to bring about meaningful change in the world.

How your donation can help:

-More Programs! We believe that now, more than ever, our next generation needs opportunities to become empowered through service work.  Your donation will help us develop and staff new service-learning programs, including family service opportunities, service clubs at local schools, increased after school and summer offerings, and more.  All of these programs require an incredible amount of coordination and we need to be able to pay our amazing staff to make them happen!

-Materials! Our service projects require materials in order to be successful!  Donations are used to purchase supplies that enhance the educational portion of our program, as well as materials needed for the service projects themselves.  For example, your donation might be used to purchase ipads so our students can do research on the community issues they are learning about.  Or it might be used to purchase toys for the students to assemble into boxes for kids in the hospital.  Every dollar makes a huge impact!

-Lower Costs for Families! We would like to provide our programs at an accessible cost for all families and we need the support of our community to make that happen!  Our goal is to have a sliding scale fee system, a scholarship fund, and free school clubs and family programs!  We're not there yet, but with more funding, we believe we can make this happen!

Parent Testimonials:

“For our son who had viewed himself as a troublemaker, Service Stars has been life changing. He now sees himself as an important contributor to the community. We have seen his empathy grow in ways we could not have imagined. He picks up after *others* without being asked, offers his allowance to "people who need it more," requests to go on walks to collect trash, and more. Thank you, Service Stars!”

“The Service Stars after school program has transformed our eight-year old daughter. She has developed empathy and a genuine interest in helping others. Service Stars has opened her eyes to the ways we can help others who aren't as fortunate as us. Recently she has sorted through her clothes to donate to Cradles to Crayons and she regularly asks to buy food for the Freedge. She was so proud to raise money for the MSPCA! At home she has been a great advocate for improved recycling practice and up-cycling containers. It has been incredible watching her blossom at Service Stars!”
