Our Mission
Our program's mission is to introduce children to the work of local non-profits, develop empathy for those in need, and engage children in the benefits of helping others, all while having fun and working as a team!
Our story
Service Stars was launched in 2018 by a group of local public school teachers who wanted to bring high-quality service learning opportunities to young children. What started as a two-week summer camp has grown to now include after-school and school vacation programming, and special weekend service events for the whole family.
Through our programs, students experience hands-on opportunities to help their community. Our hope is that our programs spark a life-long commitment to service for Service Stars kids and their families, empowering a new generation of good citizenship.
