Cradles to Crayons Drive

Our Stars have created a strong bond through various projects with the Cradles To Crayons community. Cradles to Crayons staff members have come in to our camps to share more information about the wonderful things they do. We have also had our stars set out around Newton with wagons full of flyers and collection bags to run an annual collection of various items to donate on site. At the end of our camp sessions, they re-visit the houses they dropped flyers off to sort their collected items. We then have them visit Cradles to Crayons, located in Brighton, to have a day at HQ to experience sorting their donations.

A fun story about how proud we are of our Stars from Sam:

We called Cradles mid morning to give them a heads up about the size of our collection an we’re asked “Do you think it would fit in a car?” We replied “You need to bring a truck.” And boy did we ever! Folks, we filled a box truck!!! We filled 3 bins with clothes, 4 bins with toys, 1 bin with books, and 2 bins with baby items!!! The Cradles rep told me later he only brought the truck to humor us...I told him never doubt the Service Stars!
