Saving the Bumblebees

It was a great first day for Service Stars at our April vacation camp!! We spent the day learning about how we can help our ecosystem by providing sanctuary for our friends the bumble bees! We started our day with a great visit from a bumble bee expert and then our little hive of worker bees dove right in to making bee water stations, bee houses and bee tubes, and sunflower seedlings. We spent our afternoon making sure the Newton Centre Hut had its own bee sanctuary and our campers left with everything needed to make their own yard a bee sanctuary too!! Looking forward to tomorrow!!!
