Birthday Bags for Birthday Wishes

We packed our Birthday Bags today and are ready to deliver them to Birthday Wishes tomorrow! It was hard for the kids to realize that there are many kids in Massachusetts that have never had a birthday party. Something that we all take for granted, something we assume everyone gets, something as simple as plates and napkins with a fun theme and a party to celebrate just isn’t a reality for so many kids. Today the Service Stars did something about this injustice and now over 20 kids will be able to celebrate with a party just for them! These kids are really pouring their hearts into each project. We ended our service by singing Happy Birthday to the bags. We might not be there at the party but our spirit and love was certainty put into each bag. I am sure the kids will feel it when they get to celebrate their big day!

The next day we walked to Birthday Wishes to see where the Birthday bags were going. The kids were able to explore the toy shelves and help pick out birthday presents for a 5 year old boy. It was so meaningful for the kids to see where their hard work was going.
