Service Day at the Newton Food Pantry

What a busy day for Service Stars today. We started the day at the Newton Food Pantry where we sorted our donations for expired goods and then placed the items into categories so that they would be ready for shoppers next week. The Stars worked so hard and in the 2 hours we were at the pantry we were able to stock the shelves for shoppers using the pantry next week. They were particularly happy with the large donations of toothbrushes. It is amazing how such a little thing can mean so much to a person in need. The food pantry volunteers were so impressed with our Stars and were amazing by their focus and hard work. They made sure that they knew how much they enjoyed working with our Stars. Our wonderful day ended at the Newton Center playground with games with Molly! We did good work today!
