Socktober

Service Stars gathered on an October weekend and learned about helping our community with Socktober!!! We started our morning learning that the least donated item to homeless shelters is socks. We talked about how having warm, dry, clean socks is so important and learned how to organize and run a sock drive on their own. The Service Stars painted collection boxes, made fliers, made Amazon wish lists and left energized about collecting socks and making a difference in our community. Of course we also took time to play and enjoy making new friends and catching up with old ones. What a great way to spend a fall day!
